Every app is built around the same values: privacy first, offline-capable wherever possible, one-time purchase instead of a subscription, no required accounts, and no tracking or analytics on user content. ## MyLife: Timeline Journal

MyLife is a private life journal for iPhone. Its core idea is showing your whole life on one screen rather than just today's entry.

### Key features

- **Life Grid** — your entire life laid out as one square per week, from birth to a life expectancy you choose, grouped into stages like Early Childhood through Adulthood. Tap any week, past or future, to see what's recorded there.
- **Life Battery** — your remaining time shown as an iPhone-style battery percentage, based on your birth date and chosen life expectancy. Extends to family members too, with an "In Memory" mode for loved ones who've passed.
- **Time Capsule** — seal a private message, up to 3 photos, and up to 60 seconds of voice for someone else, locked until a date at least 7 days out. Both sender and recipient are notified at the exact same moment it unlocks. Shared peer-to-peer via a `.mylifecapsule` file (AirDrop, iMessage, WhatsApp, email) — never touches MyLife's servers.
- **Letters to Future Self** — seal a letter today that stays locked until a delivery date you choose, then notifies you when it unlocks.
- **Family Archives** — import a deceased loved one's MyLife backup and browse their journal as a private, read-only archive on your own device.
- **Journal entries** — text, photos, videos, voice-to-text dictation (on-device), mood tags, and location, dated to any day (including decades in the past).
- **On This Day & Milestones** — surfaces memories from previous years and recurring anniversaries automatically in the timeline feed.

### Privacy

All journal data — text, photos, videos, audio, Time Capsules, Life Battery family data, everything — is stored only on the device. MyLife's $29.99 purchase is a single payment that funds ongoing maintenance and new features (like Time Capsule, shipped free to everyone who already owns the app) — not a per-feature unlock frozen at the time of purchase.
